The book, a love story and a tribute to Nancy Fox by her husband, Woody Weingarten, contains a totally revamped chapter on meds, another on treatments, an updated segment on where to get help, and several new chapters covering a variety of topics.
It's serious non-fiction, dealing with how caregivers and patients can cope with serious disease — accented by occasional humorous distractions.
Woody Weingarten, a longtime voting member of the San Francisco Bay Area Theater Critics Circle, can be contacted via his revitalized website, https://woodyweingarten.com, or his email, voodee@sbcglobal.net. His other three books include MysteryDates — How to keep the sizzle in your relationship; The Roving I, a compilation of 70 of his newspaper columns; and a whimsical fantasy intended for 6- to 10-year-olds that he co-authored with his then 8-year-old granddaughter.
